Layered and indeed grand, as one would expect, though this is certainly not the weightiest example of Drouhin Montrachet we’ve encountered. But there’s no shortage of impact and intensity. Indeed this feels like a Montrachet that's been to the gym and toned up, offering firm layers of salt, nut, confit citrus, smoke and warm spice. Long and persistent, as it should be. Refined power the order of the day here. The Laguiche Montrachet parcel is in the northern part, on the Puligny side bordering Puligny Caillerets.

The 2023 Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche Grand Cru is a rich, lavish wine, bursting with aromas of honeyed pears, toasted nuts, baking spices, orange oil and white flowers. Full-bodied, broad and layered, it's satiny and seamless, with a deep core of fruit and a long, sapid finish.
