Complex, concentrated and fundamentally magical, the Goldkapsel Fuder 9 is the product of a meticulous search for the very best grapes – requiring an additional 8 people to work on this selection alone. In fact, this Juffer Sonnenuhr is the only Goldkapsel Haag achieved this year, as they were not able to reach the same concentration level in the Juffer. Produced with 30-40% noble rot botrytis, the 2023 is stunning in its drinkability, with an amazing array of tight fresh fruits and immense persistence. They arrived in the end with just 600 litres, equating to a mere 1,400 half bottles for the world.

The 2023 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Auslese #6, made without botrytis, still has a touch of reduction on the nose. The palate brims with candied fruit, white peach, clementine and lemon peel. Viscosity and brightness seem more apparent than sweetness, although it is undeniable. The effect is graceful, compact and flowing, decisively driving its flavors forward, trailing citrus blossom, lemon and tangerine.
