Clos de Vougeot, Grand Cru, 2005

Phillipe Drouihin's vines are one of the very best parts of this large vineyard, right at the top in the middle, this probably explains the staggering consistency of this wine. Habitually one of the vintage's top Clos de Vougeot, this 2005 is every bit up there with the best. Dense, powerful and silky sweet, packed with velvety fruity flavours of plums and cherries.
