The 2020 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Les Dames Huguette has a sweet plummy, confit-like bouquet with copious dark cherry fruit mixed with cassis and blueberry. The palate is ripe and candied, nicely structured, plush with dark chocolate and caramel towards the finish.
The 2020 Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits Les Dames Huguette derives from stonier soils that are richer in active calcium. It's a medium to full-bodied, chiseled and saline red evocative of cherries, cassis, rose petals and spices. If Aux Chaumes will be a charmer out of the gates, Les Dames Huguette will reward at least a few years' patience.
