Vieux Château Mazerat

Jonathon Maltus’ Vieux Chateau Mazerat is situated between Angelus and Canon a short distance from Le Dome. This parcel, purchased in 2008 is planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, almost the exact opposite of Le Dome, however the wines are remarkably similar. Both are grand-scale St Emilions, built around a core of black, mineral infused fruit and wrapped in luxuriant tannins.
