J&B FESTIVE FINDS: LATE NIGHT LUXURIES

Château Le Peyrat, Cotes de Castillon is the second label from Paul Valade’s Castillon estate; producers of Le Grande Maye. It offers a pale garnet colour and a mature nose. Whilst sweet to start, it develops a depth of richness and personality; a structured soul to be savoured with those who know how to: late at night with a leftover slice of hard cheese and some mellow Christmas crooner playing on vinyl.

A firm favourite amongst our Rare & Collectible Whisky team is The Singleton Of Glen Ord 40 Year Old single malt scotch. The third and final instalment of The Singleton’s renowned Epicurean Odyssey range, this whisky has been through a rare 28-year secondary maturation in rum casks, before a final finish in casks that previously held esteemed rums from Diageo’s Zacapa XO and Zacapa Royal Rum releases. The notes of earthy cacao nibs, juicy plums and a gentle touch of hazelnut make for an alluring close to an evening’s conviviality.
