La Condenada, Rioja, 2021

Becoming something of a cult wine, La Condenada is a wine set to wow. Rich and velvety with a floral spicy nose, dark honey and red plums with a ferrous touch in the middle, the acidity is tense and fine. Background notes of balsamic, dry earth and stones give this a really grown-up, magical feel. Intense, long and intellectually stimulating. Produced from 100 year old vines on a single, low-yielding sandy plot with sandstone below. Majority Tempranillo but includes a 20% mix of Graciano, Palomino and Garnacha. Raised in used 600L barrel.
