    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Chateau Reynon, Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux, 2009

Professor Denis Dubourdieu's home estate has got to be one of our favourite value picks in all of Bordeaux. A humble Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux, this wine shows a class and refinement well above its lowly appellation. Dark berries sweet earth, flowers and cedar on the nose give way to unctuous sweet berry fruit on the palate. The palate is silky smooth but with plenty of bright acidity and tannic spine to provide lift and grip. This really is a tremendously good little wine that, while drinking now, is only set to get better. A value cellar treasure if ever we saw one.

The 2015 Reynon is gorgeous. Attractive floral notes add perfume to a core of racy red cherry and plum fruit in this soft, open-knit Merlot-based wine from the late Denis Dubourdieu. Plush and caressing on the palate, with silky tannins, Reynon is a winner in 2015. The blend is 81% Merlot, 13% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. Don't miss it.

Denis Dubourdieu’s home estate in the Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux is capable of producing really good value wine. We have followed the 2005, 2009 and 2010 vintages, which have all been excellent, however, we haven’t seen the consistency in the so called ‘off vintages’ to make this one of our core offerings.
