    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Lynsolence, St Emilion Grand Cru, 2005

100% Merlot made by Denis Barraud, from a vineyard situated next to Château de Valandraud. A very elegant, feminine wine on the nose, with a voluptuous explosion of dark fruit on the palate, rounded, chewy tannins and great length on the finish. One to watch.

The 2005 Lynsolence is a rich, heady Saint-Émilion loaded with inky dark fruit, dried herbs, chocolate, licorice and spice. Although the 2005 has certainly aged well, this style is more enjoyable where there is more fruit, in my view. The 2005 is not exactly in decline, but its best years are behind it.
