Bonnes-Mares, Grand Cru, 2010
Powerful, fine-grained and gripping. With every year that has gone by since Bruno took this parcel back, the wine has become denser and more complex. Deep mineral flavours are overlaid by ripe but lively fruit notes of bilberry, blueberry and bramble with a kirsch sweetness and cherry freshness; tinges of rock salt on the long, echoing finish. Very Impressive. From two parcels, one of which is next to Clos de Tart, giving quite a generous, rich and voluptuous style of Bonnes-Mares.
critic reviews
The 2010 Bonnes-Mares is a towering, statuesque wine. Layers of fruit burst from the glass in this multi-dimensional, kaleidoscopic wine. It's hard to fully capture the wine in words. Let me just say, all of the elements are in the right place. In 2010 the Bonnes-Mares captures a striking marriage of power and sensuality. This is a marvelously complete wine from Bruno Clair.
