    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Robert Weil, Kiedrich Grafenberg, Riesling, Spätlese, 2015

This has real energy from the get go with long clear flavours of orange, tangerine and grapefruit, fresh acid drive and that classic Gräfenberg crumbly dry stone character. Towards the finish peach notes mingle with detailed minerality giving real uplift and succulence. A beautifully balanced and composed Spätlese full of allure.

Lusciously ripe peach mingles with grapefruit, salted caramel and marine minerality on the nose and delicate yet lush, glycerol-rich palate of this formidably-concentrated and impeccably balanced bottling. It comes off as both riper (in effect, more Auslese-like) and more citric than the Turmberg, finishing with terrific energy to accompany its richness. But the hauntingly, intriguingly and flatteringly floral and animal elements that characterize Turmberg at its best aren’t in evidence here.
