    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Mouthfilling, suave and voluptuous forest berry and silky cherry fruit. Easy, velvety and so alluring. This has a heavenly texture and roundness finishing with a gentle complementary freshness. A first rate Gevrey Premier Cru vineyard high up on the slope next door to Clos-St.-Jacques, whilst there is a similar aromatic quality to the wines of its neighbour the taste profile is very different, with suaver, rounder fruit coming thanks to the white clay soils found here in this limestone-influenced parcel in the upper part of the vineyard.

Healthy medium red. Closed nose hints at dark berries, licorice and rocks, along with a subtle note of game. Less perfumed in the mouth than the 2014 version but shows good peppery energy and a fairly silky texture to its purple fruit flavors. Finishes with very good length and lift and no dryness. This grew on me as more intense blackberry fruit emerged with air.
