    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

A mineral, savoury, dry stone nose, the palate is deep, steely and powerful, clearly there is lots of extract here, firm but not lean, very very impressive, notes of dry pebble, slate, mineral lime zest, red apple and super ripe yellow plums. Incredible. Wehlener Sonnenuhr is typically the most mineral and long lived of the Prum wines, they often take several years longer in bottle to come round than Prums other wines but the patience gets rewarded.

    Joel Payne,

Pale golden yellow. Heady aromas of strawberry and nut oil, with a gentle hint of smoky botrytis. White peach fruit essences and mineral salts animate the creamily rich yet delicate palate. More concentrated than the other ausleses at this address, in more of a BA style. But with its strong acidity, this impressive wine will mature into a great auslese.
