critic reviews

93/100Lisa Perrotti-Brown,The Wine Independent

The 2018 Annonce de Belair-Monange is composed of 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it leaps with notes of crushed black plums, blueberry compote, and menthol, followed by suggestions of Indian spices and fragrant soil. Full-bodied, rich, and spicy in the mouth, the palate has beautifully plush tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and fruity.

91/100Lisa Perrotti-Brown,Robert Parker Wine Advocate

The 2018 Annoncethe second wine of Chateau Belair Monangehas a medium to deep garnet-purple color and compelling notions of Morello cherries, black raspberries and baked plums, with hints of pencil lead, bay leaves, damp soil and spice cake. The full-bodied palate delivers seriously impressive freshness with a fine-grained texture and bags of juicy red and black fruits, finishing long and spicy.
