A limited production. A Grenache dominated blend with some Syrah, Mourvèdre and Counoise, with a smattering of the other permitted varieties. All from vines aged between 25 and 80 years old. Fermented the traditional way, lightly pressed whole bunch in concrete vats followed by a minimum 18 months in large old wooden cask, bottled without filtration.

Brilliant ruby. A wild, highly perfumed bouquet evokes candied dark berries, smoky minerals and licorice, with a sexy floral note emerging with air. Sappy, penetrating and sweet on the palate, offering intense black raspberry and lavender pastille flavors that put on weight with air. Shows surprising vivacity for a hot-year wine and finishes spicy, focused and very long, leaving a note of spicecake behind.
