Tasting Note:

This is a massive step up from the Dame and in our view the finest wine of the appellation. A blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Classic aromas of pencil shavings, flowers and minerals. Calm and composed, this has a lithe athletic structure, a sense of nerve and steely minerality. A crisp mass of vivid cassis, pure fresh blackcurrants on the bush and a dash of salted chocolate griotte. It has a kinetic energy to it that makes it grow and grow across the palate. Taut and serious, this is never going to be fleshy, but it will dazzle for its sheer dynamism and athleticism. Superb!
