Tasting Note:

A cooler, later picked spot, and it shows. This Vergers has a wonderful freshness encircling what is a typically full, fleshy Chassagne body. Buttery, fleshy but bright greengage fruit, tightening nicely on the finish with a cooling citrus edge. Good length and energy. A vineyard just below Les Chaumee with more clay in the soils, yielding full archetypal Chassagnes. The deep clay dominated soils here give this wine a texture and body whilst the relative coolness of this terroir imparts real definition to the wine.
