    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Big, strong and complex; deep flavours of mineral, earth, spice, hedgerow fruit and undergrowth, rich notes of mulberry, bramble and bramble jelly; opulent and ample with a dense framework. Towering, muscled but impressively smothered with sophisticated fruit.

Good deep red. Reduced aromas of game and silex reminded me of a Corton grand cru. Fat and sweet but a bit monolithic today compared to the Latricieres, without quite the same impression of inner-palate energy of delineation. Best today on the very long, thick, unflagging finish. This very large-scaled wine still needs more elevage.
