In the heart of the southern Rhône, Emmanuel Reynaud oversees the running of Château Rayas, a Domaine that has been handed down from one generation to the next since 1880.
It was Emmanuel’s father whose keen interest in the balance, terroir and the impact this has on the quality of the wine that has influenced their style today.
A ten-hectare vineyard, surrounded by woodlands, planted in very poor, sandy soil, Rayas produces wines of great finesse. Made up of Grenache, solely for red wine and a mixture of Grenache and Clairette for white, wines are matured in the cellars of two estates Château Rayas and Château des Tours.
