    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

A little closed to begin with, gradually opens up into a notes of fresh citrus peel, nut and herbs, ripe but with clear clean edges. There is still a certain power and ripeness here but more streamlined and less fleshy than the 2015 with a salty twist to the finish. From vines south of Tournon. 100% Marsanne on granite soils. Fermented in large 600l barrels.

    Josh Raynolds,
    Vinous
Vivid yellow-gold. Ripe honeydew melon, orange, buttered toast and a hint of smoky minerals on the intensely perfumed nose. A hint of leesiness emerges with air and carries onto the palate, complementing concentrated Meyer lemon, pear and toasted brioche flavors. Silky and focused on the impressively long, mineral-laced finish, which leaves candied orange and iodine notes behind.
