    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

This offers the full body of classic Meursault with the minerality of Perrières. A very complete and accomplished wine. Fleshy and unctuous notes of honeyed stone fruit interspersed with more sapid notes of mineral, herb and salt. Fleshy and full but encircled by a refreshing halo of acidity. A very well-situated Monopole lieu dit from the mid-slope, the same level as Perrières, that shows more intensity and precision than most Meursault villages. Aged for 15 months in 35% new oak.

The 2016 Meursault Clos des Grands Charrons is nicely done. White and green orchard fruit, flowers, mint and white pepper give the 2016 a very pretty, bright upper register to play off its mid-weight personality. Now, with a few years in bottle, the 2016 offers lovely aromatic and flavor complexity, making it a terrific choice for near and medium-term drinking.
