    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

A little stricter than the Bourgogne, tight-knit forest fruits crisp and fresh, this has some grip and nerve to it. Notes of crunchy frozen forest berries with a sweeter note of griotte and kirsch on the warming finish. The result of a blend of 13 parcels aged predominantly in used oak barriques.

Matured in 20% new oak, the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village offers ripe red cherry, crushed strawberry and orange sorbet scents on the pretty nose. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins and a little compact at the moment, with some hardness toward the finish that should soften by the time of bottling and with bottle age. A little gawky at the moment, but I think it will come round.
