Alba

Alba is the name of one of Italy´s most important wine cities, as well as a newly created appellation surrounding it. Rather than focusing on a single grape variety, like many of its neighbouring appellations, Alba can be produced from up to 15 different grape varieties. The diversity of the soils and the microclimates here, along with this flexibility of plantings, mean some incredibly exciting wines are produced here. Some of the regions best producers, such as Azelia, Castello di Verduno, Elio Altare, Marco Marengo, Roberto Voerzio, Piero Busso and Paolo Scavino are already making wine under this appellation.
