Tasting Note:

Floral, fruity bramble aromas. Quite some structure that belies it’s soft and sweetly scented aromatics, the tannins are dense tight but very velvety. An early ripening single Cru situated 650 metres above sea like Calderara but with very different soils – volcanic ash as opposed to Calderara’s harder rock. The vines are between 50 to 80 years old. Ageing is for 18-20 months in a mixture of barriques, demi muids and large barrels of used wood.
