Tasting Note:

Viduenos is a blend of the indigenous white varieties Marmajuelo, Gual (aka Boal), Albillo Criollo and Listán Blanco. The 2017 is the product of one large oak vat of just 3,000 bottles in total. More contoured and cushioned than the single varietal Listan Blancos the Viduenos opens up with notes of mango, fresh lemon and white honey with a subtle creaminess and greater mid-palate density. Nevertheless, it is underpinned by a core of bracing, super-saline acidity that meets an ashy, rocky almost earthy minerality. Anyone looking for deeply characterful wines with an unmistakable sense of place need look no further!
