Tasting Note:

We're big fans of Clos du Marquis. This Jean-Hubert Delon wine is always pure and ravishing, sleek and honest, a proper wine that expresses its terroir and is never plastered with make-up - these are natural beauties and they age with grace and charm. A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, this is beautifully refined - pure, strict red and black fruit are cut with fine minerals, spice and clove. The fruit is very tight knit and persistent, there's something very athletic and muscular, there's no puppy fat, it's all intense and sappy. Texturally this is very polished with seamless fruit and tannin integration - it finishes with real persistence and tension. A wine for purists. Superb!
