    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Made from a selection of Chapoutier’s oldest Marsanne (some more than 100-years-old) situated at the top of the Hermitage Hill, behind the chapel, at a place named The Ermite and planted on poor granitic and shallow soils (gore). This is the most structured Chapoutier whiteHermitage. Yields are very low. It shows an elegant balance, a huge complexity and intense minerality typical of concentrated Marsanne.

    Josh Raynolds,
    Vinous
Bright gold. Explosive spice- and smoke-accented aromas of candied tropical and citrus fruits, jasmine, iodine and honey. The palate offers intense, palate-staining pineapple and pear flavors plus notes of ginger, mace and chalky minerals. The wine's mineral element builds with air and carries through a very long, sappy, focused finish.
