Here are those interesting slate aromas again, a touch of spontaneous fermentation complexity, then smoky yellow fruit, gooseberry and peach. The grip of the vintage asserts itself nicely over the riper yellow fruit here making this a big mouthful of lightweight yet impressive Spätlese. A very long finish promises good things to come.
