Tasting Note:

A selection of some of the younger vines in the GG vineyard Im Sonnenschein, handpicked, de-stemmed and given 24 hours of skin contact before fermentation in stainless steel and ageing on fine lees for 6-7 months. There is no battonage, no fining and only the lightest of filtration, meaning Hansjorgs Weisserburgunders are often very closed at first and need a few years in bottle. And so this is, youthfully reticent but crystal clear, with great definition and precision, and a real sense of purity as the notes of smooth stones, white pepper and pears gently weave across the palate.
