Tasting Note:

Limpid ruby red in colour. Very aromatic. Anise, subtle wood spice. Kirsch. Fresh, vital, finely-knitted tannin. Notes of Liquorice, black cherry and black Forest gateau. A touch of leather. Very long and balanced. Lithe and open, the most ethereal and elegant of the three wines. Costa Russi cru, located directly below Sorì Tildìn at the base of the Barbaresco village. The vines are over 65-years-old and are planted in limestone clay and marl soils. From 1964 to 1978 this was blended into the estate’s Barbarbesco. The vineyard is an amphitheatre with many exposures, the vines are old, (65yo) and therefore the planting density is fairly low. Often the most open and elegant of the single vineyard wines.
