Tasting Note:

A little reticent at first but it reveals real beauty as it warms up and aerates. Crispy, gripping red fruit, hints of tea-leaf fuse with the sweet strawberry fruit and woody spice notes. There is proper structure here holding it altogether but a very fine-grained one. An extended finish is floral, elegant and fruity. This has a certain restraint and grace. Aged for one year in large oak ‘botti’ and one year in barriques with a maximum of 15 percent new wood.
