Tasting Note:

Always the most muscular of the Scavino cuvees, tannic and powerful with tremendous energy to support the solid, earthy and spicy fruit. Notes of dark fruit, tobacco leaf and cinnamon with a touch of cherry. Intense and expansive, a wine that needs time to give of its best. Situated at 280 metres above sea level in Castiglione Falleto, this is one of the great Crus of the region that makes powerful but classy, age worthy wines. It was the first single vineyard bottling Scavino in 1978.
