Tasting Note:

A mix of fruit and spice on the nose with strawberries and balsamic notes, the palate reveals a liquorice spice background to the fragrant red berries. A deceptive softness and generosity here belies the wine's complexity, developing notes of cinnamon and pepper that underpin the aromatic wild, sun-kissed red fruits that persist to the finish. Pure charm and seduction. A southwest facing vineyard of 280 metres planted on sandy white limestone soils, originally planted by Pierguido's grandfather in 1948. Ageing is in 25 hl casks for 26 months.
