    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

A shale based single vineyard on the Paardeberg Mountain planted in 1985. The shallow soils here lend a more mineral profile to the wine, one that David describes as “lateral tension”. Tangy, crisp lemony fruit with notes of flint and pressed flowers – a fine boned, sophisticated Chenin Blanc with fresh acidity.

    Neal Martin,

The 2019 Chenin Blanc Skaliekop is well defined on the nose, with wax resin, lanolin and grilled walnut scents emerging with time. The balanced palate offers a dab of dried honey on the entry, then a little tangerine peel, dovetailing into an understated finish. Fine.
