Tasting Note:

A superb Chenin Blanc from two Schist driven vineyards, the product of 2.40 hectares and twenty year old vines. Miniscule yields resulted in just 1,200 bottles in 2018. Named after Donovan’s daughter Ava. Ripe yellow fruit, salted limes and prickly pear with a phenolic twist and bristling acidity underlying. Aged in smaller barrels for 10-11 months. Plush white currants, hay, and an almost brambly edge. Dried cumin and complex white tea notes lend earth and savoury sensations. Stunningly complex, effortlessly balanced and just the right side of hedonistic.
