Tasting Note:

Not a man prone to hyperbole, it means a lot when Donovan says that “this is the best and most complete Ava Chenin I’ve made to date.” Produced from a schist based single vineyard, it displays highly refined notes of essential oils, straw, brittle lemon, spearmint, verbena, and lime leaf. While concentrated and taut at present, there is evident complexity here, and it has all the makings of something truly special. Fermented and aged in small, neutral barrels, total production was just 1,300bts. A beauty.
