Tasting Note:

Classic Taillepieds –reassuringly so. Mineral, muscular and taut with great tension and cool dark fruit notes, a touch of spice and a very firm and handsome, yet fine tannic spine. Not the most gregarious wine, you have to look a bit, but when you do, there is real class and beauty within. Long and persistent, this virile Taillepieds appears to have all the makings of a great. From a parcel in the high part of the village. The slope here is very steep and well exposed, the soil is very white, poor and stony, giving wines that are racy and tight-packed in their youth that reward hugely given time.
