    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Clearly more muscle and dry extract here than the Bienvenue. Broad shouldered, fleshy but crispy. Not the refinement of Bienvenue but lots of energy and promise. A powerful, feisty adolescent. Muscled and surly showing notes of rocks, lime skin and butter.

Pale straw-yellow. Deeper-pitched on the nose than the Bienvenue, offering scents of yellow fruits, earth and clove; one can smell the flesh here. Very rich, tactile and smooth, conveying a strong impression of dry extract to its yellow orchard fruit and spice flavors. The wine's greater thickness of texture is leavened by firm supporting acidity. With its serious weight and structural underpinning, this slightly saline wine will need several years of bottle aging. The yield here was about 40 hectoliters per hectare, according to Benoît Riffault.
