Tasting Note:

A tiny cuvee of just 650bts from a 33 year old 0.2HA single site in Wellington, Donovan is the only producer in South Africa to bottle a Cinsault Blanc, after the site was discovered by Rosa Kruger. Rather than a Blanc de Noir, it is an actual mutation of Cinsault Noir, and is accordingly part of the heritage of the Cape. Picked early to retain acidity and fermented and aged in amphora. An unusual style of wine sure to appeal to the curiously-minded wine lover, the granite soils impart a lovely tangy acidity which compliments notes of kiwi, green apple, and lime cordial. It finishes salty and clean, at a refreshing 11% ABV.
