Tasting Note:

90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. We were slightly shocked by the stylistic change at Gazin. The 2009 was enormous with colossal tannins; the 2010 by contrast is rather feminine and delicate. Perfumed high toned notes of morello cherries, griotte liqueur, coal dust, cedar, tobacco and cut flowers. On the palate the fruit is silky smooth, refined and stylish. Pure, decadent berry fruit interspersed with savoury notes. A beautifully constructed Gazin.
