Tasting Note:

The second wine of Eglise Clinet is 100% Merlot and shares much of the same DNA as the grand vin although it comes from the sandy gravelly soils at the estate (rather than the more complex clay gravelly soils). Really intense, smoky, mineral nose with hints of charcoal, minerals and pretty berries. Beautiful, clear fruit attack with serious extract and concentration; masses of fruit and firm, masculine tannins. Excellent.
