Tasting Note:

If there is one piece of good news amidst the plight of Chambolle’s tiny crop, for the comsumer at least, it is that even more premier cru fruit has gone into this than usual. As usual this contains fruit from a wonderful villages parcel of 100-year-old vines situated near the Bussiere of Morey and also includes Perrot-Minot’s famed Combe d’Orveau cuvée. This year a total of eight barrels were made, four of which were Premiers Crus! Intense, bright red berry and cherry fruit, crystal clear with a polished texture and classy mineral dimension. Long, racy and gripping but with plenty of charm. Impeccably pure and well balanced.
