    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Produced from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23.5% Merlot, 4.5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot including 10% of press wine. This is a really impressive Branaire. Notes of cut flowers, cherries, cedar and spice. Lots of big sweet fruit flavours on the palate, blackcurrants, dark cherries - powerful, with lots of glycerine. The tannins are ripe and there are long flavours of sweet cherries on the finish. A vin de garde.

    Neal Martin,

The 2010 Branaire-Ducru has a typically lighter bouquet compared to Beychevelle but there is wonderful precision and focus, attractive scents of blackberry, wild hedgerow, mint and loam. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, very harmonious and focused with Branaire’s typical understated and yet persistent finish. Superb. Tasted from an ex-château bottle at the BI Wines & Spirits 10-Year On tasting.
