Tasting Note:

Brunate is a classic vineyard high up in the Barolo commune of Barolo that produces powerful but sweetly-scented wines, sadly this is always the smallest part of Altare's production. Not a deep colour but beautifully bright and vibrant, sensational sweet tight fruit on the palate bolstered by fine gripping tannins, this is complex and sophisticated Barolo that offers lifting berry fruit and minerals with a sweet and spicy warmth that makes it so alluring now. A very serious effort.
