Tasting Note:

2019 turned out to be Denis Durantou’s swansong. He was a remarkably talented man, who always captured the vintage and at times mastered it. His 2013s are a case in point – few vignerons could reach those heights in such a drab year. His 2019s will be his last creations, his farewell gifts to the world. These are generous, beautifully textured wines, full of energy and vim. This 100% Merlot cuvee could be the best example we have tasted from Denis' St Emilion property. Really stylish, with lots of ripe blackcurrant and cherry liqueur fruit. Fresh long and with a lovely zip to it.

"A red with lovely, juicy character and plenty of ripe fruit and chocolate undertones. It’s rich and layered. Flavorful. More concentration than the 2018. 93-94/100". - James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com
