Tasting Note:

More punch and structure than usual, a depth, shape and complexity that puts it very close to Gevrey in style. Energetic powerful ripe fruit notes of griotte and Victoria plum. Fleshy and well-padded but with a reviving mineral, rocky element. Complete, classy and loaded with character. A first rate Marsannay vineyard planted on poor soil, situated mid slope, that is one of the prime candidates for elevation to Premier Cru status, a process Marsannay vignerons have got well under way. Fermented with 30% whole bunches and aged in predominantly used oak barrels.
