Puligny Montrachet, Les Nosroyes, 2021

Tasting Note:

A cool stony chalky character on the nose belies the grip, tension and architectural presence on the palate. This has torque, in spades, with steely concentrated citrus fruit and crushed stone notes. A powerful, impressive Puligny that has much more presence and intensity than your average village wine. A very fine Puligny vineyard towards the top of the slope on the north side of the village, just underneath Les  Perrières. Here there is a predominance of limestone. Les Nosroyes is a well-drained vineyard that typically yields finely etched but ripe fruited wines with a chalky finish.
