Domaine du Pegau

Châteauneuf du Pape

Grape Variety:

Châteauneuf du Pape, Cuvée de Capo, 2015

Tasting Note:

Powerful dark and concentred. Brooding bramble and garrigue flavours. Structured tight-knit notes of spices, incense, crème de mure with floral violet notes starting to appear with aeration. So dense and deep that this needs time to express itself but it’s all there. Immense. A special selection of 100 year old vines coming predominantly from La Crau that was last produced in 2010. The blend is dominated by Grenache but comprises all 13 permitted Châteauneuf varieties. Fermented the traditional way, lightly pressed whole bunch in concrete vats followed by a minimum 18 months in large old. wooden cask, bottled without filtration
