    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

A legendary Savigny parcel of extremely old vines many of which were planted back in 1902. Absolutely top notch, this can mix it with the best Crus of the Côte de Nuits. Big, dense and wild, the fruit is rich and complex but is given freshness by a scintillating minerality and savoury undergrowth complexity: flavours of bullace, blueberry, plum and damson, finishing on long sweet fruit and mineral flavours.

Bruno Clair's 2009 Savigny-les-Beaune La Dominode is fabulous in this vintage. The warmth of the year has filled out the wine beautifully. The 2009 is ripe, exotic and flashy. I especially admire the juxtaposition of fleshiness and insistent minerality.
