Tasting Note:

An inimitable style of high quality traditional rose only really found in Spain. Even then, it is still a dying breed! Produced from a whole host of local varieties both red and white, including Garnacha (red, grey and white), Macabeo, Carinena and Ull de Llebre, all the varieties are picked and pressed at the same time to produce a “clarete”. Fermented in ten year old barrels for over six months and then aged for a further 17 months in huge traditional casks (over fifty years old), Dido Rosa is pale and elegant but also structured, with spicy red fruit, savoury nutty notes and pink pepper. A wine that comes alive with the Mediterranean cuisine, this is a rose with enormous potential, sure to delight those who struggle to find a certain, unnamed, Rioja Rosado of much acclaim…
